Frequently
Asked
Questions

How do we meet for sessions?

Sessions are held exclusively via Zoom. You can meet on your schedule, anywhere. No driving to an office, no waiting rooms.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 50-minutes, up to 1x a week.

Are you a licensed therapist?

Hope does not hold a formal license as a therapist. As a trauma-informed relational & somatic coach, the work she does with clients is a result of both embodying her own healing work as well as years of education and training in areas such as Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, IFS/Parts Work, and Attachment Theory. For additional safety and transparency, if you are working through something that Hope is not a good resource for, she will let you know in a non-pressuring way about some additional options to support your healing journey.

When can I expect results?

You are free to come into your first session with a pre-determined goal in mind (i.e. "I want resolve in a specific relationship" or "I want to stop experiencing panic attacks") or you can come just knowing that you want more support as you pursue the life that you want. Either way, you can feel confident that any time that you are investing into your emotional health and wellbeing is never wasted.

Healing is not on a linear timeline, but you will likely begin to feel the effects of this individualized attention and care quickly because it is not typical to what we often experience in day to day life.

Thought patterns, body symptoms, and deep emotional wounds need time and space to repair because they took time to present in the first place - this means that you will want to anticipate at least one year of consistent (weekly or bi-weekly) sessions for significant change.

When we feel permission to just need as much time as we need without rushing ourselves, we start to heal and experience change faster.

Do you accept insurance?

No.

How much are sessions?

The current rate for new incoming clients is $65 per 50-minute session

How do I schedule sessions?

Once accepted as a client, Hope will collaborate with you on a weekly or bi-weekly recurring session schedule based on availability. You will be able to link this schedule to your Google calendar.

What is the cancellation/missed session policy?

Any cancellation or request for rescheduling of a session can be communicated via email to hope@hopeforlifeconsulting.com no later than 24hrs before the scheduled session.

Any cancellation, reschedule, or missed appointment that is not done prior to 24hr-notice of the scheduled session will be billed in full, unless it is an emergency or illness that you communicate about as soon as possible. Missed session = 15 minutes late. This is a strict policy which you are agreeing to upon scheduling all sessions.

What if I don't like working with Hope?

All sessions are booked and attended at-will. There is no contract or obligation involved.  Hope's highest value is for you to feel like you are in the driver's seat of your experience - never pushed. She is also so happy to be with you for as long as you are getting the support needed by working together. You always have the option to cancel your sessions via email.

How do I pay for each session?

Directly following your first session, you will receive an invoice via email. The card used to pay the invoice is the card that will remain on file for you. Going forward, the cost for each session is charged after the session is completed. **Please note the cancellation/missed appointment policy. You are always welcome to email Hope if you need to change anything about your payment process (i.e. change of card, change of day charged). Failure to pay for a completed session will result in inability to receive a future session.
